The receptionist job is going a lot better. I got my Mac Computer by me. So, I'm getting design and Cartography based things to work on still. Thank God!

My car started to crapped out on my near the mall on division street. The alternator was not working and the car was relying on my batteries juice. So, I had to use hand signals to go to the repair shop. Worse yet, it was during lunch break. But, Mom to the rescue! She drove me back to work. The car has set me back a few hundred dollars that could have went for a much needed new PC.

I went to visit my uncle and he seems to be feeling better.
I drove the family because even though my 80 something grandpa likes to drive, I insisted that I felt like driving.

I had a nice distraction from the week last week. Maria found out that I would be gone on Friday and coaxed me to go to see the new Harry Potter with her. We had so much fun and some good laughs. Good times.

Still bummed that I missed my comic time this month with my friends.

Just got a friends request from Don Hertzfeld on my space. I wet myself.

Work is work right now. I kept dozing off at my desk yesterday while working on map research. I got 9 hrs of sleep the night before. Figure that one out! I seriously thought something was wrong with me. It was kind of scary.
I've been attempting to do pottery at the paramount. I'm not good at it. I'm more a sculpture than a potter. I realized this when a put a grumpy guys face on a crappy mug I made. I'll show it when it's done.
The latest music I've been obsessing over is "My Chemical Romance". (INSERT ROLLING EYES HERE)It sounds like punk, pop and Queen said 'hey! Lets rock!'

Serious question: What do you guys do to stop food cravings?
I think location has a lot to do with weight gain. Because since I moved back home, I'm back into my old habits.

Okay. So, cleaning your living space always help you to find things. Found my phone. HA!
My boss gave me a ticket to the ADDY awards. The Addy's are like a SIGGRAPH for graphic designers. It was interesting the first half an hour when I went around and saw all the Ads that were submitted for the contest. The rest of the time it ran pretty slow. I got a two course dinner and watched a jazz band play. But, the awards were really long.
I found out that my boss's mother was my 11th grade english teacher. Small world. My 2nd cousin was at the awards. I had no idea he was going to be there. He won a student award! Hurray!
My boss had invited me out for a drink. I wish I could've went with him, but, since it was so bad outside my parents insisted to drive me to and from the event.
It was an interesting time.

The internship went well and I have a great mentor! My sleeping scheduled is so screwed up. I am so tired. fortunately I was able to stay alert while working.
I've caught the gamer bug. I've been playing with my xbox games a lot. I've been play Star Wars Battlefront 11 and The Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie's Revenge. I had a friendly arguement about video games with my dad. He called me a nerd. I said "if an alien space craft were to crash near us and we were the only ones around it guess who could fly it? Me! I am The Last Starfighter Bitch!"
Yep, I'm a nerd.
Gah, I'm tired. I'm going to bed.

For years my parents have been raving about this "Star Wars Holiday Special" that George Lucas came out with in 1978. They were raving about how wounderful it was. So, since I had time to kill, I found a crappy VHS recording of it on youtube. It was funny. But, most of it was painful to watch. Now I can say "yes, I saw it and  it was bad."  It's really strange to see two people in wookie costumes trying to kiss eachother.

Has anyone seen my sketchbook? I'm having seperation anxiety.

I have a shot at a graphic design internship at the most convenient spot in town! They want to have me over for a trial day to see if I can hack it.
I need to create a pamphlet by the end of the day next thursday. I'll be using Illustrator and possibly Indesign. It's been so long since I used Illustrator and I've never used Indesign. So, if there is anyone out there that knows of any good recources to study up on. PLEASE, PLEASE, let me know.

Watching Aardman Animations on the big screen for me is like a red neck's need for watching the superbowl. It must be done!

I curled up in a blanket with my cat Sebastian and we watched "Shadow of the Vampire", and "Bride of the Monster". I bought my favorite candy, Skittles.
No trick or treaters unfortunately. My parents don't like Halloween so they didn't have their light on.
Other than that, I'm still doin' the digital art thing and am brain storming on different creative solutions I can add to my portfolio to make my work look sellable.
I'm making conceptual drawings for a collaborative comic strip called "Kate and her Empire."
Everything else in my life right now is just BLAH!

Wow. It's been a while since I posted something.
Anyhoo, I went to a really awesome concert at The Cedar to see Hoven Droven with my mother and her friend.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn near by and I ran into the drummer from the band. I recognized him from visiting their myspace account. Teehee! I feel so special!
I'll be workin' with vaslittlecrow on a comic project and hopefully some other things. I can't waite to get started!

I knit for some reason. Recently I tryed my super knitting powers on a hat pattern. It turned out way too big. I guess it would look sexy on a snowman.

Okay. So, my doctor told me to check out this book "Eat To Live". He said it was the healthiest diet available. He wants me to become a vegetarean! I'm trying to make the switch. But, the hardest part will be giving up Diet Coke. It is the most addicting thing I've ever had to deal with!
I went to apply for a job this morning and before leaving, a band on TV came on called Wolfmother. I'm a sucker for those kind of bands. Anyway, my dad was around and I said " hey you've gotta check out this group! So, cool!" Later on, when my dad and I were in the car, he put in Wolfmother. My dad's cool!
